Photometric and Fluorescence-Based Assays
At Medtechtomarket, we have wide-ranging experience in developing technical optical test cartridge formats and instrumentation to deliver highly sensitive colormetric, turbidity or fluorescence assay detection systems for measuring single biomarkers, enzyme assays, and panels.
These include small low-cost analysers with robust optical systems, lenses, light sources, filters, apertures, data processing, and algorithms that can be used to measure very low levels of enzyme reactions or blood and urine biomarkers.
The calibration and maintenance-free systems we have developed have been designed for point of care use and include both optics check cartridges and controls to confirm performance during the product’s life.
Suitable for use with reagent volumes of between 30µl-1ml and with reagent-free microfluidic systems, we have developed a range of optical cuvette and automated fluid handling designs within the cartridge systems, with an increased focus towards small sample volume, reimbursement pressures, accuracy, and preform accreditation. The highly precise optics are delivered in high volume by using cost-effective injection moulded parts.
With an increased focus towards small sample volume, reimbursement pressures, accuracy and performance accreditation programs, and the need for quick time to result, there is a greater need for high sensitivity and reduced reaction volumes.
We bring together material scientists, electrical engineers, physicists, biochemists, and optics engineers to deliver a robust and highly sensitive optical and fluorescence measurement system for a range of clinical applications.
